The Pavillon de l’Arsenal is partnering with the first edition of the “Les voix de la ville” festival and, for the occasion, is presenting an installation dedicated to the challenges of urban renewal, as part of the HouseEurope! campaign.
HouseEurope!
This European initiative, which promotes the transformation of existing buildings rather than their demolition, takes a deep look at how we shape our cities, preserve their resources, and value their uses, memories, and residents.
This European initiative, which promotes the transformation of existing buildings rather than their demolition, takes a deep look at how we shape our cities, preserve their resources, and value their uses, memories, and residents.
By highlighting these issues within the festival, the Pavillon de l’Arsenal aims to foster dialogue between citizen narratives, creative practices, and professional expertise, and to help shape new collective visions of a fairer and more sustainable city.
The Festival
The collective Les voix de la ville brings together independent content creators (podcasts, videos, etc.) who explore, through their media, the many facets of the urban fabric.
To extend this collective approach, the collective has conceived a festival that brings their formats, narratives, and audiences into dialogue around contemporary urban issues.
Inclusivity, resilience, spatial justice, the integration of living organisms… these are just some of the topics that will be explored through a multidisciplinary program: roundtables, listening sessions, screenings, public podcast recordings, participatory workshops, book signings, and many other surprises!
Centered on the theme “New Narratives and Imaginaries,” the collective pursues an approach that is both critical and constructive, challenging dominant narratives about the city while exploring new ways to imagine, narrate, and inhabit it.
This festival aims to foster dialogue among creators, citizens, and professionals in the fields of urban planning and architecture, by bringing together diverse perspectives and building bridges between lived experiences and practices, in order to open up new spaces for reflection and creation around the urban fabric.
