Paul Bourget Lot 9 / A Note from the Architect:
“Lot 9 of the Paul Bourget ZAC completes the herringbone-style building layout initiated by Lot 8 between Gerda Taro Street and the public garden. Its streamlined form, designed with central symmetry, opens up views from the apartments toward the garden while also contributing to the character of the small plaza at the park’s entrance.
The mixed construction method is evident on the facade in a basic syntax: a regularly spaced concrete framework combined with more freely designed woodwork elements that enhance the livability of the residential spaces.” - Nicolas Hugoo Architecture

Paul Bourget Lots 10, 12 / A note from the architects:
“Lot 10-12 concludes the renewal of the Paul Bourget residential sector with a mixed-use program: a social housing building, a student residence, and a neighborhood media library.
To the north of this irregularly shaped plot, the Elogie-Siemp residence features a bold 11-story structure with balconies overlooking the park and a base level housing active amenities and residential porches.
“The layout of the programs on the plot aims to control the built density of the block, open up views of the neighborhood and vistas toward Greater Paris, and free up space at its center.” - LA Architectures

“In November 2013, the City of Paris entrusted SEMAPA with the redevelopment of the Paul Bourget neighborhood. Located at Porte d’Italie in the 13th arrondissement, the project involves revitalizing a neighborhood built in the 1950s as part of an emergency plan aimed at rapidly constructing housing. With the buildings having become dilapidated and the public spaces underutilized, the City of Paris decided, in consultation with residents, to rebuild the entire area.
From the project’s inception, the environmental and sustainable development goals of the Paul Bourget project have been fully integrated into its urban and landscape planning, which aims to open up the site and improve the living environment for its residents. Thus, greenery and biodiversity play a significant role, with plans to open Kellermann Park onto Avenue de la Porte d’Italie and organize the new neighborhood around a large central garden. The commercial and business buildings, constructed along the Boulevard Périphérique and Avenue de la Porte d’Italie, both contribute to the neighborhood’s diversity—which was initially purely residential—and protect residential areas from nuisances, particularly noise pollution, associated with these major thoroughfares.” - SEMAPA
