Exposition by results of competition “draw your dream city”, launched at September 2012 by Pavillon de l’Arsenal and Paris Mômes

of inhabited bubbles, swimming pools on roofs, " building everything suspended
forests or in clouds, building which pushes, outdoor elevators, vegetable
greenhouse, veils of color, invasion of photovoltaic panels, articulated
buildings or in levitation, more than 700 children imagined, invented, created,
and drawn the building of dreams about them.
The exhibition "Draw
your dream city" present results of this operation thrown by Anne Hidalgo,
in charge of urban planning and the architecture and president of Pavillon de
l’Arsenal. To invite children to imagine their dream buildings, a leaflet
suggested them observing seven buildings recently built in Paris and redrawn
specially for the opportunity and so allowing them to discover the uses and the
new forms of the architectures which composes the city of today.
The jury, chaired by Dove Brossel, in charge of the school life and the educational success and consisted in particular of architects Philippe Lair, Christophe Ouhayoun, Emmanuel Saadi, Richard Scoffier, held on proposal 50 drawings, then indicated 16 prize-winners and awarded the 1st price to Caesar, age 7. The jury also wished to distinguish three projects "crushes".
Installed on the second floor by Pavillon de l’Arsenal, near Pavillon of children recently opened, this exhibition presents 714 received drawings and offers new looks on the city, its architectures and the way of living
This production of a big wealth is analyzed by Richard Scoffier, architect, philosopher and primary school teacher Nationales Supérieures of architecture who reveals closeness between the drawings of the children and the works of illustrious architects and puts in perspective the big themes which get free of it: importance of the program, the volumes, the circulations, the work on the facade and the texture of the building, the use of the roof.
Architects Philippe Lair, Christophe Ouhayoun and Emmanuel Saadi, who got from childrens’ drawing a realistic perspective such as they would make for a real competition of architecture, express strongly the high quality of these proposals.in one " with day-nursery, retirement home, fitness gym and integrated housing,
