The ‘European Panoramas’ exhibition gave an overview of architecture and urban design in 15 European capitals, highlighting the problems facing these metropolises.
In parallel to this exhibition, it seemed apropos to draw up an inventory of Europes young architectural agencies.
Following a presentation of the Spanish agency Actar Arquitectura, this exhibition presents projects and works by the Dutch agency Neutelings-Riedijk.
The Pavillon de l'Arsenal gave carte blanche to the guest architects to define the content of their show and design its scenography. Architects Williem Jan Neuteling and Michiel Riedijk went into partnership in the early 90's.
Their buildings, which feature sculptural forms and expressive textures, proceed from strong concepts that aim at legibility of functions and programmes. They exhibit representative works from recent years.
