New public facilities in Paris

Launch of 90 consultations for the creation and renovation of public facilities in Paris

 Lecture on May 18, 2022

As the owner of 3,600 public buildings (650 schools, 480 day care centers, 68 libraries, 145 gymnasiums, etc.), the City of Paris is implementing a vast program to improve its assets in the face of climatic challenges, renovate them and complete the range of facilities on offer.

The creation of swimming pools, conservatories, sports centers, media libraries, but also hybrid facilities combining activities or associating culture and sports, education and art... renovation and adaptation of schools, day care centers... new or transformed buildings, the ambition is to invent places that are open to their neighborhoods and allow for different appropriation times.

The aim of this unprecedented program is to bring all of Paris' public facilities into line with the objectives of the Climate Air Energy Plan and Paris' carbon neutrality by 2050. The aim is both to meet the needs and expectations of new facilities and to improve the construction and transformation of existing ones. The ambition is also to pay particular attention to implementation times and work procedures in order to reduce the environmental impact of buildings, but also the nuisance for local residents.

The Paris s'équipe professional morning invites all the players, architects, engineers, landscape designers, building companies, constructors, professionals in the bio and geo-sourced materials sector, installers of innovative energy solutions, etc., to discover the challenges and objectives of the municipal team and to engage in a dialogue to invite everyone to take part in this major transformation of Parisian public facilities.
