Temporary urbanism is coming to the fore today as a solution to take advantage of periods when sites lie vacant during urban projects. This practice enables the city’s inhabitants to be integrated during a period of urban transition, to take on-board new uses, and thus generate new practices. More than simply fillers during the build-up to the final project, these initiatives can become a means for welcome action and reflection to experiment with new ways of creating cities.
Initiated by the Paris City Hall and organized by Plateau Urbain and Pavillon de l'Arsenal, the November 24th Meet-Up will be the opportunity to present a variety of feedback, before enabling the players in temporary urbanism to present their projects to the players in the real estate sector, in order to develop practices and foster new actions.
