Although a familiar presence, the hotel hides a complex mechanism: industry and housing, trade and local equipment, the hotel is a real social laboratory and an urban capacitor. As a place of service, it's also the programme of constructive avant-gardes and progress. The metropolitan history of this rich and surprising architecture, marked by the most emblematic projects, remains largely unknown. Under the direction of Catherine Sabbah and Olivier Namias, historians, researchers, sociologists, architects, engineers, designers, film critics, prospectivists and photographers invite you to come and visit the Paris hotel.
