#57 - LESS building

Paris 10

Architects : AAVP architecture - Vincent Parreira architecture
Client : ICF La Sablière
"The project is in the 10th District near the Gare de l'Est and the Saint Martin Canal. What we liked about this project was its desire for diversity. Constructing social housing upon a public building.
There's a part underground gym and dace studio above which we have built housing on 6 levels.

We decided that extra space that could be provided to renters were those between the street and their homes. Hence the outside walkways within the block of this rather narrow building. It measures 10,5 meters wide.
The apartments are dual-oriented.

The facades are a system of wooden loggias with a hidden metal structure. The aim here was to use wood, which we often use in our work, but also the existence of two materials : a natural coating of white reflective, sparkling paint and the larch.
This may seem somewhat precious, but why not ? It can provide maximum quality for the users and people in the street who get to see an attractive building made of cut stone, paint and wood.
It adds to the city's visual wealth and that's our goal."
