The Architecture Guide Paris: 1900-2008 contains 1203 buildings and reviews the history of contemporary Parisian architecture in order to single out and gain an understanding for the masterpieces but also some lesser-known or forgotten structures of the time.

Each building is presented with a text, a recent photo, the date of construction and, in most cases, a plan. Eric Lapierre’s view, which is both practical as well as theoretical, puts these structures into the context of the evolution of architectural conceptions throughout the century and describes their construction and technical aspects. The buildings are categorised by their street names as well as by their architect and printed onto a card game which allows the visitors to find their way through the exhibition and the book very easily. The book contains approximately one building per month for the time span covered and presents itself as a guide and important reference work. It invites its readers to rediscover the city of Paris which is constantly in flux.
