Designed from 1959, built between 1967 and 1989, the Front of the Seine is one of the most innovative and ambitious urban programs of renovation of Paris of Post-war economic booms. On an artificial ground of five hectares punctuated with about twenty tours, the designers developed a vision of the city of the future which favors the verticality and the stratification of the urban functions in agreement with the projects of modernization of the capital. The collection " urban Memoirs "

This collection presents the recent transformations of Paris, the human and urban transformations, the new practices, the new places, or how to live in Paris, but also to build Paris at the beginning of this century.

Every work cpmbines a writer and an architect whose critical looks tell moments keys of the human and urban history of an action, a district or a territory. Some are particular narratives, others of the walks, but all cross the life of the inhabitants, their realities, with what makes the material of the city, the streets, the places and the new buildings or already there, which it is a question of repairing.
