"The rue de Charenton, one of the oldest and longest in Paris, shows a variety of buildings. The building's glass entrance is located in the continuity of Bignon Street, creating a visual breakthrough to the garden.
In order to achieve the performance of the BEPOS Effinergie label, the design focused on reducing consumption and the production/use of renewable energies. In this constrained context, we have chosen a U-shaped typology that follows the traces of the old building. This location limits shadows and generously opens the apartments to the garden to the southwest. The perforated aluminium shutters make the facade vibrate on the courtyard, allowing the thermal and privacy of the terraces to be managed. On the street side, the project appears to be more structured thanks to a delicately pierced brick elevation. "
